For over a decade, "Carpenter's Mortuary Spook House" was a labor of love for the artists at Mortuary Studios. But, even though the ghosts of ol' Mother Carpenter and her evil gang have permanently returned to the grave, their spirits live on in this archived version of the website the victims visited for so many years. ~ Our haunted attraction was truly a labor of love, and to be awarded this recognition means the world to us! A lot of blood, sweat, and tears go into the design and creation of the scenery; but, as any haunt owner will tell you, it's the talent and dedication of the actors that bring it to life! Thanks so much to all the dreaded morticians, undertakers, coffin builders, and grave diggers who terrified our victims over the years!

In 1990, local artists began to occupy the building that was once Gentry’s mortuary and funeral chapel. They transformed the space into a project studio devoted to music, film, and many other art forms. Over the years, visitors have reported strange phenomena there. They’ve seen unexplained lights and noises. They’ve had the feeling that someone, or something, was breathing down their necks.
In 2022, investigators from the acclaimed YouTube channel "Haunting History" spent a night in the Carpenter Building, and the contact they made with its ghostly inhabitants was truly unnerving.
